Why are we conducting a national test?
The first Wednesday of May at 12pm, the Danish Emergency Management Agency and the Danish Nationalt Police are testing S!RENEN and the physical warning sirens. You will receive a test warning via S!RENEN and the physical warning sirens will sound.
You do not need to take any action. S!RENEN is tested to ensure that as many as possible are familiar with it and to ensure that the system functions as intented. The physical warning sirens are tested to remind people what the sound means and ensure that the system functions as intented.

The test warning will contain the following text:

Beredskabsstyrelsen og Rigspolitiet tester S!RENEN, Danmarks mobile varslingssystem. I en akut situation fortæller S!RENEN dig, hvad der sker, hvor det sker, og hvad du skal gøre.
Dette er en test. Du skal ikke foretage dig noget.

Didn't you receive a test warning via S!RENEN?
All recent smartphones on 4G / 5G with an updated operating system are able to receive a test warning the first Wednesday of May at 12pm - unless the phone is turned off or in airplane mode. If you do not receive the test warning, it may have to do with the type of phone or operating system you have. Read more under 'Check your phone'.
